Meet Dr. Ramon James, Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Dr. Ramon James graduated from the University of the West Indies, Mona, in 2011 and pursued his passion for surgery, becoming the first Bahamian to complete the Doctor of Medicine Cardiothoracic Surgery Programme at UWI in 2022.
His training included two years at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, where he specialized in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Dr. James has served as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Princess Margaret Hospital and Doctor’s Hospital in the Bahamas, and currently practices at the National Chest Hospital and private practice, providing expertise to Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
